Meet 1501 Health

the-next-big-thing-in-healthcare-1501-Health1501 Health, a year-long incubation and investment program led by Healthworx and LifeBridge Health, provides early-stage companies with investment, expertise and support to scale their healthcare solution.

“Through 1501 Health, we’re looking to find and engage startups developing cutting-edge technologies and solutions that have the potential to significantly impact the healthcare ecosystem, whether that’s healthcare consumers, payers, providers or other stakeholders,” said Healthworx SVP Ricardo R. Johnson.

The 1501 Health website launched in late January, with the first round of applications opening on Feb. 1. Ideal applicants are local to the mid-Atlantic region and have a full-time team, a product or model that solves a key healthcare challenge and some form of traction, like early customers or financing.

Companies accepted into the program will have the opportunity to earn up to $100,000 in capital, and access healthcare experts from CareFirst and LifeBridge Health.

The first cohort of companies will be notified in late March of their acceptance, with the program starting at the beginning of May. To learn more about the program or to sign up for updates when a new round of applications open, visit www.1501health.com.
